In some cases, Member States make use of a single licensing procedure for all project types, some make use of two or more (many more in some cases), while others have a two stage system whereby some aspects of a project are authorised under one set of legislation (e.g. land use planning), and other aspects are dealt with under another (e.g. environmental licensing).
