I would like to remind you that these initiatives are aimed, firstly, in the case of URBAN, at improving the quality of life of the citizens who live in the poorer parts of various European cities, and, in the case of INTERREG, at facilitating cohesion and recognising the diversity and potential of the regions of the European Union, particularly by including the outermost regions in strands B and C.
Je tiens à rappeler que l'initiative URBAN a pour objectif d'améliorer la qualité de vie des citoyens qui vivent dans les quartiers des différentes villes européennes et qu'Interreg a pour but de faciliter la cohésion et de reconnaître la diversité et la potentialité des régions de l'Union européenne, en particulier au moment de l'intégration des régions ultrapériphériques dans les chapitres B et C.
