The rapporteur is of the view that, in line with the opinion of the Commission and the Council and taking into account the opinion of Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Azerbaijan is, after several rounds of negotiations, now ready to conclude the Visa Facilitation Agreement and the Agreement on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorisation.
Dans ce contexte le rapporteur considère, conformément à l'avis de la Commission européenne et du Conseil, et en prenant en compte l'opinion de la Commission des affaires étrangères du Parlement européen qu'au terme de plusieurs cycles de négociations, l'Azerbaïdjan est désormais prêt à conclure l'accord de libéralisation des visas ainsi que l'accord de réadmission des personnes en séjour irrégulier.

6. Regrets that the announced roadmap for visa-free travel between Russia and the EU will not be presented as planned at the upcoming EU-Russia Summit, while the roadmap document was completed in early May 2011, but needs to be approved by all the 27 Member States; reiterates the commitment for the long-term objective of visa free travel between the EU and Russia, based on a step-by-step approach focused on substance and practical progress; points out, nevertheless, that visa facilitation and visa liberalisation with the Russian Federation should in no way privilege the holders of Russian passports living in the frozen conflicts regions at the expense of citizens of Moldova and Georgia; welcomes the decision taken in the framework of the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee to call for the establishment of a visa-free regime, as a preliminary step, for holders of passport of both the EU and Russia, born in 1989 and later;
6. regrette que la feuille de route annoncée pour l'autorisation des déplacements sans visa entre l'UE et la Russie ne sera pas présentée, comme prévu, lors du prochain sommet UE-Russie, alors que le document avait été finalisé début mai 2011, mais il doit encore être approuvé par les 27 États membres; réaffirme l'engagement concernant l'objectif à long terme d'autorisation des déplacements sans visa entre l'UE et la Russie, basé sur une méthode progressive axée sur le contenu et les avancées concrètes; fait néanmoins observer que la facilitation et la libéralisation des visas avec la Fédération de Russie ne devraient en aucun cas privilégier les titulaires d'un passeport russe vivant dans les régions en proie à des conflits gelés au détriment des citoyens de Moldavie et de Géorgie; se félicite de la décision qui a été prise dans le cadre de la commission de coopération parlementaire UE‑Russie de demander la mise en place d'un régime d'exemption de visas, dans un premier temps pour les détenteurs de passeports russes et de l'Union nés en 1989 et plus tard;

– (PL) Mr President, as the permanent rapporteur of the European Parliament for the European Union’s cooperation with Georgia, as well as the rapporteur for the opinion of the Committee on Foreign Affairs on Mrs Griesbeck’s reports, I would like to say a few words about these two agreements – the agreement on readmission and the agreement on visa facilitation between the European Union and Georgia.
– (PL) Monsieur le Président, en tant que rapporteur permanent du Parlement européen pour la coopération de l’Union européenne avec la Géorgie et en tant que rapporteur pour avis de la commission des affaires étrangères sur les rapports de Mme Griesbeck, je voudrais dire quelques mots sur ces deux accords - l’accord de réadmission et l’accord visant à faciliter la délivrance des visas entre l’Union européenne et la Géorgie.

As the rapporteur for visa facilitation in the Delegation to the European Union-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee, I think that introducing the visa-free regime in the country was a very important encouragement for its people.
En tant que rapporteur pour la libéralisation du régime de visas de la délégation auprès du comité parlementaire mixte UE-ARYM, je pense que la mise en place d’un régime sans visas pour ce pays a constitué un encouragement important pour sa population.

‘Responsible organisations’ relate to measures envisaged to facilitate the procedures for applying for and issuing visas for members of the Olympic family taking part in the Olympic and/or Paralympic Games, and they mean the official organisations, in terms of the Olympic Charter, which are entitled to submit lists of members of the Olympic family to the Organising Committee of the Member State hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games with a view to the issue of accreditation cards for the Games.
