IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

In accordance with Article 6(7) of the Agreement, several working groups needed to administer the Annexes to the Agreement were set up, including a working group on protection of designations of origin (PDOs) and on protection of geographical indications (PGIs) (Working Group on PDOs and PGIs), and their terms of reference were adopted by Decision No 2/2003 of the Committee (3).
Conformément à l'article 6, paragraphe 7, de l'accord, plusieurs groupes de travail nécessaires pour la gestion des annexes de l'accord ont été constitués, y compris le groupe de travail sur la protection des appellations d'origine (AOP) et sur la protection des indications géographiques (IGP) (groupe de travail "AOP et IGP"), et leurs mandats ont été adoptés en vertu de la décision no 2/2003 du Comité (3).

Pursuant to Article 15(6) of Annex 12 to the Agreement, the Working Group on PDOs and PGIs assists the Joint Committee on Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as 'the Committee') at the latter's request.

Pursuant to Article 15(6) of Annex 12 to the Agreement, the Working Group on PDOs and PGIs assists the Joint Committee on Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Committee’) at the latter's request.

7. In order to fully accomplish the high standards of human rights set out in the Trade Agreement, to which both the Andean governments and the European Union are committed, suggests that the parties involved swiftly establish a dedicated domestic advisory group (DAG) on human rights and democratic principles, which should accompany and monitor the implementation of this or other Trade Agreements and work as an effective internal consultation body to the domestic offices that participate in the Committee on Trade of the Trade Agreement, using as a model for its operation the legal framework envisaged in the Trade Agreement for the participation of civil society in the Subcommittee on Trade and Sustainable Development; calls on the parties to the Trade Agreement to guarantee these DAGs the same level of binding involvement for civil society as in the Free Trade Agreement with South Korea, including a formalised and institutionalised complaint mechanism; calls on the parties, furthermore, to ensure the full independence of the DAGs, including as regards their own choice of members of the DAGs;
7. propose aux parties concernées, afin de pleinement mettre en œuvre les normes élevées en matière de droits de l'homme qu'impose l'accord commercial et au respect desquelles les gouvernements andins et l'Union européenne se sont engagés, de créer sans tarder un groupe consultatif interne spécialement consacré aux droits de l'homme et aux principes démocratiques, de manière à ce que celui-ci accompagne et suive la mise en œuvre de l'accord en question ou d'autres accords commerciaux en tant qu'organe consultatif interne efficace auprès des services nationaux qui participent au comité du commerce visé par l'accord, en utilisant, pour modèle de fonctionnement, le cadre juridique prévu dans l'accord pour la participation de la société civile au sous-comité «commerce et développement durable»; invite les parties à l'accord commercial à garantir à ces groupes consultatifs internes le même niveau d'implication contraignante de la société civile que dans l'accord de libre-échange avec la Corée du Sud, y compris au travers d'un mécanisme de recours officiel et institutionnalisé; invite en outre toutes les parties à assurer l'indépendance pleine et entière de ces groupes, y compris en ce qui concerne le choix de leur propre composition;

Calls for an inter-institutional agreement on the principles and working methods governing proposals for future EU substantive criminal law provisions and invites the Commission and the Council to establish an inter-institutional working group in which these institutions and Parliament can draw up such an agreement and discuss general matters, where appropriate consulting independent experts, with a view to ensuring coherence in EU criminal law;
demande qu'un accord interinstitutionnel sur les principes et les méthodes de travail régissant les propositions de futures dispositions européennes en matière de droit pénal matériel soit conclu et invite la Commission et le Conseil à mettre sur pied un groupe de travail interinstitutionnel au sein duquel ces institutions et le Parlement pourront élaborer un accord de ce type et débattre de thèmes plus généraux et, le cas échéant, consulter des experts indépendants, afin de garantir la cohérence du droit pénal européen;

(II) The Meeting of the Parties "may also establish such temporary, special or standing committees as may be required, to study and report on matters pertaining to the implementation of the objectives of this Agreement, and working groups to study, and submit recommendations on, specific technical problems".

The Meeting of the Parties may also establish such temporary, special or standing committees as may be required, to study and report on matters pertaining to the implementation of the objectives of this Agreement, and working groups to study, and submit recommendations on, specific technical problems.

La Réunion des Parties peut également, en tant que de besoin, créer des comités temporaires, spéciaux ou permanents, chargés d’étudier et de faire rapport sur des questions relatives à la réalisation des objectifs du présent Accord, ainsi que des groupes de travail chargés d’étudier et de faire des recommandations sur des problèmes techniques particuliers.

In that context, it is worth noting that the Council has reached an agreement at working group level on the negotiating guidelines for the stabilisation and association agreement with Serbia and Montenegro.

Whereas, without prejudice to the possibility of the parties deciding otherwise, the European Works Council set up in the absence of agreement between the parties must, in order to fulfil the objective of this Directive, be kept informed and consulted on the activities of the undertaking or group of undertakings so that it may assess the possible impact on employees' interests in at least two different Member States; whereas, to that end, the undertaking or controlling undertaking must be required to communicate to the employees' appointed representatives general information concerning the interests of employees and information relating more specifically to those aspects of the activities of the undertaking or group of undertakings which affect employees' interests; whereas the European Works Council must be able to deliver an opinion at the end of that meeting;
considérant que, sans préjudice de la faculté des parties d'en convenir autrement, le comité d'entreprise européen institué en l'absence d'accord entre elles, afin de mettre en oeuvre l'objectif de la présente directive, doit être informé et consulté au sujet des activités de l'entreprise ou du groupe d'entreprises, de manière à pouvoir en mesurer l'impact possible sur les intérêts des travailleurs d'au moins deux États membres différents; que, à cet effet, l'entreprise ou l'entreprise qui exerce le contrôle doit être tenue de communiquer aux représentants désignés des travailleurs des informations générales concernant les intérêts des travailleurs et des informations concernant plus spécialement les aspects des activités de l'entreprise ou du groupe d'entreprises qui affectent les intérêts des travailleurs; que le comité d'entreprise européen doit pouvoir émettre un avis à l'issue de cette réunion;
