(229) As calculated above, the Commission considers the following remuneration to be in line with market conditions: 9,3 % after tax for the part of the capital which can be used by WestLB to underpin its commercial business, i.e. DEM 2500 million (EUR 1280 million) at the end of 1993, and 0,3 % after tax for the difference between this part and the amount of DEM 5900 million (EUR 3020 million) shown as equity in WestLB's balance sheet, i.e. DEM 3400 million (EUR 1740 million) at the end of 1993.
