The intent of this process — and the BC Treaty Process itself I think has done a great job — is to have the parties involved in a process that understands and historically reconciles their respective lands and, as we have said through questions from both sides, undertakes over a process that I would call consultative to the extent that they have either been in mediation or in negotiation through the treaty process to understand what the final agreement would propose.
L'objectif de ce processus — et selon moi, le Processus des traités de la Colombie-Britannique a fait de l'excellent travail —, c'est de faire participer les parties à un processus qui permet de reconnaître et de concilier leurs terres respectives traditionnelles et, comme nous l'avons dit en répondant aux questions des deux côtés, qui permet d'entreprendre un processus que j'appellerais consultatif, dans la mesure où elles ont soit été en médiation, soit en négociation par l'entremise du processus des traités pour comprendre ce que l'accord définitif proposerait.
