I can indicate from my own personal perspective that, looking at section 258 of the Criminal Code, the kind of thing you'd be looking at would be if an officer has reasonable and probable grounds to believe the person is impaired, not by alcohol but by drugs, because of their behaviour, their attitude, or whatever symptomology they observe, they would have the right to make a demand for a blood sample.
Personnellement, en examinant l'article 258 du Code criminel, je dirais qu'un policier qui a des motifs raisonnables et probables de croire que les facultés d'une personne sont affaiblies, non pas par l'alcool, mais par la drogue, compte tenu de son comportement, de son attitude ou de tout autre symptôme, devrait pouvoir exiger un échantillon de sang.
