I hope that the Commission will accept this compromise, although even this proposal generates a serious effort for the Bulgarian economy and it would be an inflationary factor, without producing any effect for the environment because gasolene and fuel oil are not elastic products and they depend on many other economic factors rather than excise taxes.

Calls on Member States to step up structural reforms which would introduce higher flexibility in goods and labour markets, thereby preventing the emergence of bottlenecks and raising the "speed limit" at which an economy can grow without generating inflationary pressures; calls on the ECB to stimulate reforms in Europe by laying emphasis in its publications on the euro area's remaining weak points in this regard;
10. invite les États membres à multiplier les réformes structurelles qui introduiraient une plus grande flexibilité sur les marchés des biens et du travail, prévenant par là la naissance de goulets d'étranglement et augmentant la "vitesse limite" à laquelle une économie peut se développer sans générer de pressions inflationnistes; demande à la BCE de stimuler les réformes en Europe en mettant l'accent dans ses publications sur les points faibles qui caractérisent encore la zone euro à cet égard;
