Aerodromes that are specified as alternate aerodromes by airlines flying large aircraft and have to show they possess sufficient facilities purely in terms of ground infrastructure (i.e. takeoff/landing runway length and width, TWY System, etc.) should also be able to attain the corresponding requisite category of rescue and fire-fighting services in accordance with point (i).
Vliegvelden die door luchtvaartmaatschappijen met grote vliegtuigen als uitwijkplaats worden aangegeven en die zuiver op basis van de op de grond aanwezige infrastructuur (d.w.z. start-/landingsbaanlengte/breedte, TWY-systeem, enz.) voldoende voorzieningen hebben, moeten de in verband daarmee noodzakelijke brandbeschermings- en reddingscategorie ook overeenkomstig punt i) kunnen bereiken.
