O reforço do diálogo UE-Brasil faz, pois, todo o sentido, pois permitirá aprofundar a cooperação em sectores-chave como segurança energética e desenvolvimento sustentável, diversidade biológica, alterações climáticas, luta contra a pobreza e a exclusão, democracia e direitos humanos, etc. O peso demográfico, o desenvolvimento económico e a estabilidade política fazem do Brasil um protagonista incontornável na cena internacional.
