Pursuant to the conclusion of RAC that the available data did not allow quantification of the dose-response relationship for the health effects of BPA, the Agency's Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (‘SEAC’) could not use the benefit estimates in the French dossier and therefore performed a break-even analysis, on the basis of which it concluded that overall the estimated costs outweigh the potential health benefits of the proposed restriction.
Omdat het RAC had geconcludeerd dat de dosis-responsrelatie voor de gezondheidseffecten van BPA niet op basis van de beschikbare gegevens kon worden gekwantificeerd, kon het Comité sociaaleconomische analyse („SEAC”) van het Agentschap de ramingen in het Franse dossier niet gebruiken, en heeft het daarom een break-evenanalyse uitgevoerd met als conclusie dat de geraamde kosten zwaarder wegen dan de mogelijke gezondheidswinst van de voorgestelde beperking.
