Moreover, this provision is in line with the work begun in the IGC on the revision of the Munich Convention, particularly that undertaken by the working party on cost reduction, whose remit from the member states of the European Patent Organisation is to put forward proposals for lowering the cost of the European patent.
Overigens gaat dit voorstel in dezelfde richting als de werkzaamheden waarmee in het kader van de intergouvernementele conferentie ter herziening van het Verdrag van München is begonnen. Dat geldt met name voor de werkzaamheden van de werkgroep kostenbeperking, die van de lidstaten van de Europese Octrooiorganisatie de opdracht heeft gekregen met voorstellen te komen om de kosten van het Europees octrooi terug te dringen.

In accordance with the mandate adopted by the intergovernmental conference of the member states of the European Patent Organisation in Paris on 24 and 25 June 1999, two working parties were set up to carry out the preparatory work for a reform of the patent system in Europe, particularly with a view to reducing the cost and lead time involved in the granting of a patent, and for the harmonisation of litigation relating to the Community patent.
Overeenkomstig het mandaat dat door de intergouvernementele conferentie van de lidstaten van de Europese Octrooiorganisatie op 24 en 25 juni 1999 in Parijs werd aangenomen, zijn twee werkgroepen opgericht om de hervorming van het octrooistelsel in Europa voor te bereiden. Calls on the Commission to set up a working party with a binding mandate to carry out within one year a systematic cost-benefit analysis of possible cormorant management actions at Member State level, to assess their credibility on the basis of logical and scientific criteria and to submit a recommendation; the composition of the working party should reflect the degree to which the stakeholders are affected;
