Recognises the contribution of itinerant tourism, such as touring caravanning, in mitigating the negative effects of mass tourism by dispersing concentrations of tourists; stresses the need to promote measures aimed at contributing to its development, in particular by remedying the lack of appropriate facilities for parking and providing multifunctional sites and storage facilities for caravans and motor caravans throughout the Community;
30. erkent dat niet plaatselijk gebonden toerisme, zoals toerisme met een camper of caravan, de negatieve gevolgen van massatoerisme helpt te verzachten door spreiding van toeristenconcentraties; onderstreept de noodzaak van maatregelen die erop gericht zijn aan de ontwikkeling van deze vorm van toerisme bij te dragen door met name te helpen voorzien in het tekort aan adequate parkeervoorzieningen en door multifunctionele terreinen en stallingsruimten voor caravans en campers in de hele Unie ter beschikking te stellen;
