In the case of balloons carrying out flights of long duration, as a result of which the date and time of termination of the flight and the location of impact cannot be forecast with accuracy, the term ‘long duration’ shall be used.
In het geval van ballonnen die vluchten van lange duur uitvoeren, waardoor de datum en het tijdstip van beëindiging van de vlucht en de plaats van landing niet nauwkeurig kunnen worden voorspeld, moet de term „lange duur” worden gebruikt.

2. Notwithstanding the privileges of the holders of licences as defined in Annex I to this Regulation, holders of pilot licences issued in accordance with Subpart B or C of Annex I to this Regulation may carry out flights referred to in Article 6(4a) of Regulation (EU) No 965/2012.

Ongeacht de bevoegdheden van de houders van bewijzen van bevoegdheid als vastgelegd in bijlage I bij deze verordening, mogen houders van overeenkomstig subdeel B of C van bijlage I bij deze verordening afgegeven bewijzen van bevoegdheid als piloot de in artikel 6, lid 4 bis, van Verordening (EU) nr. 965/2012 genoemde vluchten uitvoeren.

This Regulation is without prejudice to checks carried out under general police powers and security checks on persons identical to those carried out for domestic flights, to the possibilities for Member States to carry out exceptional checks on baggage in accordance with Council Regulation (EEC) No 3925/91 , and to national law on carrying travel or identity documents or to the requirement that persons notify the authorities of their presence on the territory of the Member State in question.

For a repetitive pre-flight airworthiness directive which specifically states that the flight crew may carry out such airworthiness directive, the organisation may issue a limited certifying staff authorisation to the aircraft commander on the basis of the flight crew licence held, provided that the organisation ensures that sufficient practical training has been carried out to ensure that such person can accomplish the airworthiness directive to the required standard;

Whilst no upper limit of the airspace is specified in this Regulation, airspace classification above flight level 195 should be consistent for all flights carried out in such airspace.
