TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

1. Following the decision of the Union to invite the Republic of Chile to participate in an EU crisis management operation, and once the Republic of Chile has decided to participate therein, the Republic of Chile shall provide information on its proposed contribution to the Union.

6. The Republic of Chile undertakes to make a declaration as regards the waiver of claims against any State participating in an EU crisis management operation in which the Republic of Chile participates, and to do so when signing this Agreement.

3. The Union shall provide, at the time of the invitation to the Republic of Chile, an early indication of the likely financial contribution to the common costs of the operation and the status of mission/forces agreement, if available, as soon as possible with a view to assisting the Republic of Chile in the formulation of its offer.

4. The Union shall communicate the outcome of this assessment to the Republic of Chile in writing through diplomatic channels with a view to securing the participation of the Republic of Chile, in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.
4. De Unie deelt het resultaat van de evaluatie per brief langs diplomatieke weg aan de Republiek Chili mee teneinde de deelname van de Republiek Chili overeenkomstig de bepalingen in deze overeenkomst te waarborgen.

Due to the enlargement of the European Union on 1 May 2004, and in light of the conclusions of the first Joint Committee of the Agreement on Trade in Wines that took place in Santiago de Chile on 8 January 2004, the conclusions of the Association Committee meeting that was held in December 2004 in Santiago de Chile and the conclusions of the second Joint Committee meeting of the Agreement on Trade in Wines and first Joint Committee meeting of the Agreement on Trade in Spirit Drinks and Aromatised Drinks of the EU-Chile Association Agreement of 13- 14 June 2005, both held in Madrid, it is necessary to make technical adaptations to Appendices I (Geographical Indications of Wines Originating in the Community); II (Geographical indications of Wines Originating in Chile); III (List of Traditional Expressions of the Community) and IV (Complementary Quality Mentions of Chile) of the Agreement on Trade in Wines.

Thus, the Commission has negotiated an agreement with the Republic of Chile that replaces certain provisions in the existing bilateral air services agreements between Member States and Chile.
De Commissie heeft dan ook onderhandelingen gevoerd met de Republiek Chili over een overeenkomst ter vervanging van sommige bepalingen in bestaande bilaterale overeenkomsten inzake luchtdiensten tussen lidstaten en de Republiek Chili.

The Association Agreement between the European Union and Chile signed on 18 November 2002 is the outcome of ten rounds of negotiations, the last of which was concluded on 26 April 2002, enabling the agreement to be concluded at the summit of Heads of State and Government held in Madrid on 20/21 May, as requested by the European Parliament. Because of the strategic priority accorded to the agreement, it was possible to overcome the limitations set by the negotiating directives as regards the deadlines for concluding the agreement.

10. The new trade regime between the EU and Chile should also encourage regional economic and trade relations between Chile and the neighbouring countries in Latin America;
