Te dien einde moet Richtlijn 2001/80/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 23 oktober 2001 inzake de beperking van de emissies van bepaalde verontreinigende stoffen in de lucht door grote stookinstallaties worden gewijzigd om de eis in te voeren dat alle stookinstallaties met een gespecificeerde capaciteit, waarvan de oorspronkelijke bouwvergunning of de oorspronkelijke exploitatievergunning wordt verleend na de inwerkingtreding van deze richtlijn, op hun locatie over voldoende ruimte voor het afvangen en comprimeren van CO beschikken indien geschikte opslaglocaties beschikbaar zijn en indien transportnetwerken en modernisering van de installatie met het oog op het afvangen van CO, technisch en economisch haalbaar zijn.

Te dien einde moet Richtlijn 2001/80/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 23 oktober 2001 inzake de beperking van de emissies van bepaalde verontreinigende stoffen in de lucht door grote stookinstallaties worden gewijzigd om de eis in te voeren dat alle stookinstallaties, waarvan de oorspronkelijke bouwvergunning of de oorspronkelijke exploitatievergunning wordt verleend na de inwerkingtreding van deze richtlijn, op hun locatie over voldoende ruimte voor het afvangen en comprimeren van CO2 beschikken en dat de beschikbaarheid van geschikte opslaglocaties en transportnetwerken, alsmede de technische haalbaarheid van modernisering van de installatie met het oog op het afvangen van CO2, zijn geëvalueerd.
