TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

This Decision aims at harmonising the conditions for the availability and efficient use of the frequency bands 1 920-1 980 MHz and 2 110-2 170 MHz (hereafter ‘the paired terrestrial 2 GHz band’) for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic communications services in the Union.

When Member States authorise the use of the 694-790 MHz frequency band or amend existing rights to use the 694-790 MHz frequency band, they shall take all necessary measures to ensure a high-quality level of coverage of their population and territory at speeds of at least 30 Mb/s, both indoors and outdoors, including in pre-determined national priority areas where necessary, and along major terrestrial transport paths.

Moreover, Member States need not apply the parameters laid down in the Annex in respect of rights of use for terrestrial electronic communications networks in the 3 400-3 800 MHz frequency band existing at the date of adoption of this decision, to the extent that the exercise of those rights does not prevent the use of that band according to the Annex.

1. Member States shall designate and make available, on a non-exclusive, non-interference and non-protected basis, the frequency bands for the categories of short-range devices, subject to the specific conditions and by the implementation deadline, as laid down in the Annex to this Decision.

6.2. If, during the first test carried out in accordance with the test method described in 1.2, the narrow-band radiation for any of the bands defined in 6.1 are at least 10 dB below the reference limit, then the vehicle is deemed to fulfil the conditions laid down in this Annex for the frequency band under consideration.
6.2.
