With effect from the date set out in the second paragraph of Article 15, the national authorities shall refuse to grant EC type-approval or national type-approval in respect of new types of vehicles on grounds relating to hydrogen propulsion, or to grant EC component type-approval or national type-approval in respect of new types of hydrogen components or systems, which do not comply with the requirements set out in this Regulation and its implementing measures.

At those meetings, an examination of the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council codifying Council Directive 79/532/EEC of 17 May 1979 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the component type-approval of lighting and light-signalling devices on wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors resulted in the Consultative Working Party’s establishing, by common accord, as follows.
Tijdens die bijeenkomsten heeft de adviesgroep, na bestudering van het voorstel voor een richtlijn van het Europees Parlement en de Raad tot codificering van Richtlijn 79/532/EEG van de Raad van 17 mei 1979 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen der lidstaten betreffende de onderdeelgoedkeuring van verlichtings- en lichtsignaalinrichtingen van landbouw- en bosbouwtrekkers op wielen, in overleg het volgende vastgesteld.

3. If the relevant requirements are met, EC component type-approval shall be granted and a component type-approval number issued in accordance with the numbering system set out in Annex VII to Directive 70/156/EEC.
