Many of the existing measures have been reported to the Commission through the National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs)[6] and under the EPBD.

7. dringt erop aan de evaluatie van de richtlijn energie-efficiëntie en de richtlijn energieprestatie van gebouwen zo snel mogelijk af te ronden, zodat de Commissie kan zorgen voor de volledige uitvoering van deze wetgeving en tegen eind 2016 voorstellen tot wijziging ervan via de gewone procedure kan indienen; herinnert in dit verband aan de belofte van voorzitter Juncker voor een bindende minimumdoelstelling voor energie-efficiëntie van 30 % voor 2030 en dringt erop aan dat de Commissie bij de herziening van deze richtlijnen ten volle rekening houdt met de standpunten van het Parlement over deze kwestie en met het "voorrang voor energie-efficiëntie"-beginsel;

The recent recast of the EPBD makes it difficult to pursue another recast of this directive at this point.

The European Parliament adopted its position during the first reading of the co-decision procedure for the recast of the EPBD Directive on the 22 of April 2009 and a huge majority (549 votes in favour, 51 against and 26 abstentions) supported the improvement of the energy performance of buildings.

Directive 2009/(...)/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources requires the use of minimum levels of renewables in the buildings sector by 2015 and asks in addition for the incorporation of a factor for renewables in the EPBD.
