For the purposes of ensuring the authenticity, integrity and inalterability of the electronic edition of the Official Journal, an advanced electronic signature based on a qualified certificate and created by a secure-signature-creation device in accordance with that Directive provides sufficient guarantees to the public.
Ter verzekering van de authenticiteit, integriteit en onveranderbaarheid van de elektronische editie van het Publicatieblad, biedt een geavanceerde elektronische handtekening die overeenkomstig die richtlijn op een gekwalificeerd certificaat is gebaseerd en met een veilig middel is aangemaakt, het publiek voldoende waarborgen.

In accordance with Council Regulation (EU) No 216/2013 of 7 March 2013 on the electronic publication of the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ L 69, 13.3.2013, p. 1), as of 1 July 2013, only the electronic edition of the Official Journal shall be considered authentic and shall have legal effect.
Overeenkomstig Verordening (EU) nr. 216/2013 van de Raad van 7 maart 2013 betreffende de elektronische publicatie van het Publicatieblad van de Europese Unie (PB L 69 van 13.3.2013, blz. 1) zal, met ingang van 1 juli 2013, enkel de elektronische editie van het Publicatieblad authentiek zijn en rechtsgevolgen hebben.

Where it is not possible to publish the electronic edition of the Official Journal due to unforeseen and exceptional circumstances, the printed edition shall be authentic and shall have legal effect in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in Article 3 of Regulation (EU) No 216/2013.
Indien het door onvoorziene en uitzonderlijke omstandigheden niet mogelijk is de elektronische editie van het Publicatieblad te publiceren, zal de gedrukte editie authentiek zijn en rechtsgevolgen hebben overeenkomstig de bepalingen van artikel 3 van Verordening (EU) nr. 216/2013.
