The National Energy Efficiency Action Plans shall be complemented with updated estimates of expected overall primary energy consumption in 2020, as well as estimated levels of primary energy consumption in the sectors indicated in Part 1 of Annex XIV of Directive 2012/27/EU.
De nationale actieplannen voor energie-efficiëntie worden aangevuld met geactualiseerde schattingen van het verwachte algemene verbruik van primaire energie in 2020 en het geschatte niveau van het verbruik van primaire energie in de sectoren die zijn aangegeven in deel 1 van bijlage XIV bij Richtlijn 2012/27/EU.

In its resolution of 15 December 2010 on the Revision of the Energy Efficiency Action Plan, the European Parliament called on the Commission to include in its revised Energy Efficiency Action Plan measures to close the gap to reach the overall Union energy efficiency objective in 2020.
In zijn resolutie van 15 december 2010 over de herziening van het energie-efficiëntieactieplan heeft het Europees Parlement er bij de Commissie op aangedrongen om in haar herziene energie-efficiëntieactieplan maatregelen op te nemen om de kloof te dichten en zo de globale energie-efficiëntiedoelstelling van de Unie in 2020 te bereiken.

The Communication confirmed that the Union is not on track to achieve its energy efficiency target. This is despite the progress in national energy efficiency policies outlined in the first National Energy Efficiency Action Plans submitted by Member States in fulfilment of the requirements of Directive 2006/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2006 on energy end-use efficiency and energy services (4).
Deze mededeling bevestigde dat de Unie niet op koers ligt om haar energie-efficiëntiestreefcijfer te verwezenlijken, ondanks de vorderingen in het nationale energiebeleid dat is uitgetekend in de eerste nationale actieplannen voor energie-efficiëntie die de lidstaten hebben ingediend ter uitvoering van de vereisten van Richtlijn 2006/32/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 5 april 2006 betreffende energie-efficiëntie bij het eindgebruik en energiediensten (4).
