I am very pleased, therefore, that this Parliament has adopted an amendment to the 2004 budget by the Group of the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party to give that Financial Controller, right now, two extra members of staff for the coming financial year. We consider the role of the Financial Controller essential in all the European institutions.
Het doet mij dan ook veel genoegen dat dit Parlement in de begroting van 2004 een amendement van de Liberalen heeft goedgekeurd om juist nu twee extra medewerkers aan die financieel controleur te geven voor het komende begrotingsjaar. In conclusion, the Group of the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party will support the Lannoye report because it makes a practical contribution to improving consumers’ quality of life and, moreover, guaranteeing honesty with regard to what is on our plates. That is the prime consideration.

Visitors will be able to see the chamber where plenary sessions are held; several of Parliament's political Groups, including the European Socialist Party (ESP), the European People's Party (EPP), the Group of the European Liberal Democratic and Reformist Party (ELDR) and the Greens, will have exhibition stands in the entrance hall to welcome visitors, who will have the opportunity to give messages to the MEPs or to meet them in person.
