In accordance with point (e) of Article 45(6) of Directive 2014/59/EU, resolution authorities should assess the potential size of contributions to the cost of resolution from the deposit guarantee scheme by estimating the amount the deposit guarantee scheme could feasibly and credibly contribute in lieu of covered deposits, had they been included in the scope of bail in.

7. Interest on deposits which has accrued until, but has not been credited at, the date on which a relevant administrative authority makes a determination as referred to in point (8)(a) of Article 2(1) or a judicial authority makes a ruling as referred to in point (8)(b) of Article 2(1) shall be reimbursed by the DGS.

Het depositogarantiestelsel vergoedt de rente op deposito’s die is aangegroeid maar nog niet gecrediteerd op de datum van de in artikel 2, lid 1, punt 8), onder a), bedoelde vaststelling van een relevante administratieve autoriteit of van de in artikel 2, lid 1, punt 8), onder b), bedoelde uitspraak door een rechterlijke instantie.

3. Member States may decide that deposits referred to in Article 7(3) are subject to a longer repayment period, which does not exceed three months from the date on which a relevant administrative authority makes a determination as referred to in point (8)(a) of Article 2(1) or a judicial authority makes a ruling as referred to in point (8)(b) of Article 2(1).
