Stresses the considerable progress made in Europe in the field of nanotechnologies, based on a top-down approach, particularly in areas such as nanocomposites, abrasion – and corrosion – proof coatings and layers, and also the production of catalysers and photodiodes, including the so-called blue laser, as well as in the field of nanomedicine, nanocosmetics and nanodiagnosis of diseases;
10. beklemtoont de aanzienlijke vooruitgang die in Europa is geboekt op het gebied van de nanotechnologieën, op basis van een benadering van bovenaf, met name op gebieden als nanocomposieten, slijtvaste and corrosievrije coatings en lagen, alsmede de productie van katalysatoren en fotodiodes, met inbegrip van de zogeheten blauwe laser, evenals op het gebied van de nanogeneeskunde, nanocosmetica en nanodiagnose van ziekten;
