TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Having regard to the Decision of the Standing Committee of the EFTA States No 5/2010/SC of 9 December 2010 amending Decision of the Standing Committee No 4/2004/SC establishing a Financial Mechanism Committee (1),
Gezien Besluit nr. 5/2010/SC van het Permanent Comité van de EVA-staten van 9 december 2010 tot wijziging van Besluit nr. 4/2004/SC tot instelling van een Comité voor het financieel mechanisme (1),

Based on an according budget proposal from the Board of Auditors and a recommendation from the Financial Mechanism Committee, the Standing Committee shall agree on the amount to be granted for this purpose.
Aan de hand van een begrotingsvoorstel van de Accountantscommissie en een aanbeveling van het Comité voor het financieel mechanisme, stelt het Permanent Comité het bedrag vast dat voor dit doel wordt uitgetrokken.

WELCOMES the further specification of the functions of the Standing Committee on Climate Finance in order to assist the Conference of the Parties in exercising its functions with respect to the financial mechanism of the Convention and in preparing a biennial overview of climate finance flows; INVITES the Committee to define an efficient and cost – effective work programme that avoids any overlap with other institutions;
JUICHT het TOE dat de functies van het Permanent Comité Klimaatverandering verder zijn verfijnd, zodat het de Conferentie van de Partijen kan bijstaan in de uitvoering van haar taken betreffende het financieel mechanisme van het Verdrag en in de opstelling van een tweejaarlijks overzicht van de klimaatfinancieringsstromen; VERZOEKT het Comité een efficiënt en kosteneffectief werkprogramma op te stellen waarin overlappingen met andere instellingen worden vermeden;

EMPHASISES the importance of the Standing Committee's advisory role; CONSIDERS that the Standing Committee should assist the COP in providing guidance with respect to the financial mechanism of the Convention aiming at improving coherence, encourage synergies and coordination in the delivery of international climate change financing; in this context, the Standing Committee should review the distribution of climate finance, identify finance gaps and provide a regular overview of climate financing provided to developing countries. In this context PROPOSES that the UNFCCC Secretariat should support the Standing Committee’s work, and regularly collate comprehensive information on both public and private climate finance flows".
BEKLEMTOONT het belang van de rol van het Permanent Comité; IS VAN OORDEEL dat het Permanent Comité de CoP moet bijstaan door sturing te bieden met betrekking tot de financiële mechanismen van het verdrag, met als doel een betere samenhang, het aanmoedigen van synergieën en coördinatie bij de totstandkoming van internationale klimaatfinanciering; het Permanent Comité moet in dit verband de verdeling van de klimaatfinanciering evalueren, financieringslacunes in kaart brengen en regelmatig een overzicht opstellen van de aan de ontwikkelingslanden verstrekte financiering; STELT in dit verband VOOR dat het secretariaat van het UNFCCC het Permanent Comité in zijn werkzaamheden bijstaat, en regelmatig uitvoerige informatie samenbrengt over klimaatfinancieringsstromen van de overheid en de particuliere sector".
