(12) Whereas in Council Directive 93/12/EEC of 23 March 1993 relating to the sulphur content of certain liquid fuels(5) the Commission was asked to submit to the Council a proposal prescribing lower limits for the sulphur content in gas oil and new limits for aviation kerosene; whereas it would be appropriate to lay down limits for the sulphur content of other liquid fuels, in particular heavy fuel oils, bunker fuel oils, marine gas oils and gas oils, on the basis of cost effectiveness studies;
(12) Overwegende dat de Commissie in Richtlijn 93/12/EEG van de Raad van 23 maart 1993 betreffende het zwavelgehalte van bepaalde vloeibare brandstoffen(5) is verzocht bij de Raad een voorstel in te dienen met lagere grenswaarden voor het zwavelgehalte van gasolie en nieuwe grenswaarden voor vliegtuigkerosine en dat het wenselijk is d
