Where practical difficulties arise, which make it impossible to process the samples within 48 hours after the collection of the fish tissues, it may be acceptable to freeze the tissue specimens in transport medium at – 20 °C or below and to carry out virological examination within 14 days.
Indien het vanwege praktische problemen niet mogelijk is de monsters binnen 48 uur na de verzameling van het visweefsel te verwerken, kan worden aanvaard dat de weefselmonsters bij – 20 °C of lager in transportmedium worden ingevroren en het virologisch onderzoek binnen 14 dagen alsnog wordt uitgevoerd.
