When establishing their networks for the supply of LNG to heavy-duty motor vehicles, Member States should ensure that refuelling points accessible to the public are put in place, at least along the existing TEN-T Core Network, within adequate distances taking into account the minimum range of LNG heavy-duty motor vehicles.

3. The Commission shall assess the application of the provisions in paragraph 3 and, as appropriate, present a proposal to modify this Directive by 31 December 2027 at the latest, taking into account the LNG heavy-duty motor vehicles market, in order to ensure that an appropriate number of LNG refuelling points accessible to the public are put in place in each Member State.
