We must act on many fronts, making full use of the citizens’ preferred media, such as television and radio, since these are best able to reach them in their homes, and, in the era of the information society, it is essential that the Union’s websites appear in the official languages of the Union and also in the languages with official status in the Member States.
Daarom moet op alle fronten actie worden ondernomen, bijvoorbeeld door de favoriete massamedia van de burgers, zoals televisie en radio, ten volle te benutten, vanwege hun grote capaciteit om in de huiskamers binnen te dringen. Bovendien is het in de tijd van de informatiemaatschappij van vitaal belang dat de inhoud van de webpagina’s van de Unie in de officiële talen van de Unie beschikbaar zijn alsmede in de andere officiële talen van de lidstaten.
