This text was adopted by the IATTC in June 2003 and is known as the ‘Antigua Convention’.

Under Article XIV of the Agreement, the IATTC is to have an integral role in coordinating the implementation of the Agreement and many implementing measures will be adopted within the framework of the IATTC.

Although, for technical reasons, the Community could not join the IATTC, the Council authorised the Kingdom of Spain to accede to the IATTC Convention on an exceptional basis.
