In preparing each annual work programme, the Commission shall ensure effective priority setting, including reviewing, reporting on statistical priorities and allocation of financial resources.

3. The Commission shall, by 6 July 2024 and taking into account its report submitted pursuant to paragraph 1 and the Member States' statistics submitted pursuant to paragraph 2, submit a report to the European Parliament and to the Council, assessing the impact of national law transposing this Directive on the prevention of fraud to the Union's financial interests.

Uiterlijk op 6 juli 2024 dient de Commissie, rekening houdend met haar uit hoofde van lid 1 ingediende verslag en met de uit hoofde van lid 2 toegezonden statistieken van de lidstaten, bij het Europees Parlement en de Raad een verslag in met een beoordeling van het effect van het nationale recht tot omzetting van deze richtlijn op de preventie van fraude waardoor de financiële belangen van de Unie worden geschaad.

It follows from Article 2(2)(a) of Regulation (EC) No 2533/98 that financial vehicle corporations engaged in securitisation transactions (hereinafter ‘FVCs’) form part of the reference reporting population for the purposes of fulfilling the ECB’s statistical reporting requirements, inter alia, in the field of monetary and financial statistics.
Uit artikel 2, lid 2, onder a) van Verordening (EG) nr. 2533/98 blijkt dat lege financiële instellingen (LFI’s) die securitisatietransacties verrichten, deel uitmaken van de refererentiepopulatie van informatieplichtigen voor de vervulling van de statistische rapportageverplichtingen van de ECB, onder meer inzake monetaire en financiële statistieken.

To avoid the duplication of reporting obligations for financial market participants, that information should normally be provided by the national supervisory authorities which are closest to the financial markets and financial market participants and should take into account already existing statistics.
