We are aware that at present Europe’s output of grain and other agricultural products is low, and, in general, particularly at this time of crisis. I am concerned that this may lead to increasing costs for our producers, yet have no impact on the great problem that lies at the heart of the crisis and indeed of the European national economy: unfair competition.
Wij weten dat Europa op dit moment weinig graan en andere landbouwproducten produceert. Ik ben in het algemeen bezorgd dat dit, met name in een tijd van crisis, kan leiden tot een stijging van de kosten voor onze producenten en dat het grote probleem van de crisis, en in feite van de Europese nationale economie, de oneerlijke concurrentie, niet wordt aangepakt.
