(2) The DOC methods could give results on the removal and not on the ultimate biodegradation. The Manometric Respirometry and the MITI would not be appropriate in some cases because the high initial test concentration could be inhibitory.

Although the EU request of making it compulsory that labels clearly differentiate between "asa linen" and "asa ramie" is maintained , the Commission is willing t o engage with industry, MITI and JEtreetro, in promotional activities, based on voluntary additional labelling, at least for an appropriate test duration.
