National authorities shall refuse to grant EC type-approval or national type-approval of a new type of vehicle with regard to it being fitted with a frontal protection system, or EC separate technical unit type-approval of a new type of frontal protection system, which does not comply with the requirements laid down in Sections 5 and 6 of Annex I.
