professions, in the healthcare sector it is necessary to ensure patient safety through clear regulation of skills, training needs and responsibilities. In this regard, it should be possible for professions that are recognised in other
countries, such as chiropractic or acupuncture, to be included in the list of titles and professional qualifications of the Directive, in order to
enrich the services ...[+++]offered to patients and to ensure public control in the exercise of these professions;
25. wijst erop dat, hoewel in de Single Market Act om een herziening van het toepassingsgebied van de gereglementeerde beroepen wordt gevraagd, in de gezondheidssector de patiëntveiligheid moet worden gegarandeerd door een duidelijke reglementering van vaardigheden, opleidingsbehoeften en verantwoordelijkheden; in dit opzicht moet het mogelijk zijn dat beroepen die in andere landen erkend zijn, zoals chiropractor of acupuncturist, in de lijst van titels en beroepskwalificaties in de richtlijn worden opgenomen om het dienstenaanbod voor de patiënten te verrijken en overheidscontrole op de uitoefening van deze beroepen mogelijk te maken.
