(8) The PES Network should reinforce co-operation between its members, develop joint initiatives aimed at exchanges of information and best practices in all areas covered by PES, comparative analysis and advice as well as promotion of innovative approaches in the delivery of employment services.
(8) Het ODA-netwerk moet de samenwerking tussen zijn leden versterken, gezamenlijke initiatieven ontwikkelen die zijn gericht op de uitwisseling van informatie en beste praktijken op alle gebieden waarop de ODA's zich richten, vergelijkende analyse en advies, evenals de bevordering van innovatieve benaderingen bij het verlenen van werkgelegenheidsdiensten.

(14) The Network should build on the experience of and replace the existing informal advisory group of the European Network of Heads of PES that the Commission has supported since 1997, the views of which have been taken into account in this Decision.The key areas for action identified by that advisory group in its paper entitled ‘PES Strategy 2020’ should contribute to the modernisation and the strengthening of PES.
(14) Het netwerk dient voort te bouwen op de ervaring van de bestaande informele adviesgroep van het Europees netwerk van hoofden van de ODA's, die de Commissie al sinds 1997 steunt en in de plaats van deze groep te treden, en wier standpunten zijn meegenomen in dit besluit. De belangrijkste actiegebieden welke die adviesgroep heeft aangeduid in haar document, getiteld „PES Strategy 2020”, dienen bij te dragen tot de modernisering en versterking van de ODA’s.

To this end, the PES Network to be established under this Decision should carry out concrete initiatives such as common evidence based benchmarking systems, corresponding mutual learning activities, mutual assistance between the network members and the implementation of strategic actions for the modernisation of PES.
Hiervoor moet het ODA-netwerk dat krachtens dit besluit wordt opgericht concrete initiatieven uitvoeren, zoals gemeenschappelijke, op wetenschappelijk bewijs gestoelde benchmarkingsystemen, overeenkomstige activiteiten voor wederzijds leren, wederzijdse bijstand tussen leden van het netwerk en de tenuitvoerlegging van strategische acties voor de modernisering van ODA’s.

In particular, the knowledge of the PES Network on delivery aspects of employment policies combined with the comparative analysis made by the PES can serve policy decision makers at both national and Union level in the assessment and design of employment policies, helping to achieve the country-specific targets and to boost the employment rate, by addressing the problem of unfilled vacancies.
In het bijzonder de gecombineerde kennis van het ODA-netwerk over leveringsaspecten van het werkgelegenheidsbeleid en de vergelijkende analyse van ODA's kan beleidsmakers op zowel nationaal als Unie-niveau van nut zijn bij de beoordeling en het ontwerp van werkgelegenheidsbeleid, in die zin dat zij de landenspecifieke doelstellingen kan helpen verwezenlijken en de arbeidsparticipatie kan stimuleren door oplossingen aan te reiken voor het probleem van onvervulde vacatures.
