This new tool contains light sensitive dyes in a polymeric matrix on paper or glass support and it will provide conservators and curators with information on the effect of light in museums. The aim is to protect light sensitive artistic materials like photographs or textiles.
Dit nieuwe hulpmiddel bestaat uit lichtgevoelige kleurstoffen in een polymeermatrix op een drager van papier of glas, en het levert conservators en museumbeheerders informatie op over het effect van licht in musea (Blootstelling aan licht doet de kleurstof verbleken.) Doel is, lichtgevoelige kunstobjecten zoals foto's of textiel te beschermen.
