Pursuant to Article 3(1)(b), the frequency arrangement within the frequency bands 698-703 MHz, 733-736 MHz, 753-758 MHz and 788-791 MHz for use in full or in part for PPDR radio communications shall be as follows: the mode of operation shall be Frequency Division Duplex; the duplex spacing shall be 55 MHz with terminal station transmission (PPDR uplink) located in one or both of the frequency band 698-703 MHz and 733-736 MHz, and base station transmission (PPDR downlink) located in one or both of the frequency band 753-758 MHz and 788-791 MHz, respectively.

Mobile satellite services provide telecommunication between space stations (satellites) and mobile earth stations, either directly or via fixed complementary ground components (CGC).

7. Is concerned at recent developments that could undermine media freedom and pluralism; calls on the authorities to take all necessary measures to protect these essential aspects of a democratic society and to refrain from any attempt to control, directly or indirectly, the content of reporting in the national media; stresses the urgent need for a reform of the laws governing the media sector and therefore welcomes a recent proposal to introduce Public Service Broadcasting in Ukraine; also welcomes the public assurances given by the Ukrainian authorities that the legal framework needed to establish a public service broadcaster will be concluded by the end of the year; deplores the fact that two independent TV stations, TVi and TV5, have been deprived of some of their broadcasting frequencies; calls on the authorities to ensure that legal proceedings do not result in the selective revocation of broadcasting frequencies and to review any decision or appointment that could lead to a conflict of interest;

This Decision applies to the 2 GHz frequency band, comprising radio spectrum from 1980 to 2010 MHz for Earth to space communications, and from 2170 to 2200 MHz for space to Earth communications, according to Decision 2007/98/EC, in compliance with the spectrum assignment provisions under Directive 2002/21/EC, in particular Article 9 of that Directive.
5. Deze beschikking is van toepassing op de 2 GHz-frequentieband, die bestaat uit radiospectrum van 1980 tot 2010 MHz voor aarde-ruimtecommunicatie en van 2170 tot 2200 MHz voor ruimte-aardecommunicatie, overeenkomstig Beschikking 2007/98/EG, met inachtneming van de bepalingen inzake de toewijzing van frequenties overeenkomstig richtlijn 2002/21/EG en met name artikel 9 van die richtlijn.

Not enough effort is being put into these European Union directives on telecommunications, if it is true that the result is that, sadly, we are still without a European television frequency and we do not yet have a European television channel or even a mere radio station.
Er spreekt namelijk nog onvoldoende inzet uit deze richtlijnen van de Europese Unie over de telecommunicatiesector, zoals blijkt als wij naar de resultaten kijken. Zo hebben wij helaas nog geen Europese televisiefrequentie en ook geen Europese zender, wij hebben zelfs nog geen doodgewone Europese radiozender.
