An example of one of the six priority actions is an EU-wide eCall service. Work is ongoing to introduce an eCall service for road traffic accidents across the EU. The main idea is that 112 eCall automatically dials Europe’s single emergency number 112 in the event of a serious road accident and communicates a vehicle’s location to the emergency services.
