According to the Scientific Opinion on monitoring and assessment of the public health risk of ‘Salmonella typhimurium-like’ strains monophasic Salmonella typhimurium strains with the antigenic formula 1,4,[5],12:i:- are considered as variants of Salmonella typhimurium and current evidence has shown that these strains appear to pose a public health risk comparable to that of other Salmonella typhimurium strains.
Overeenkomstig het wetenschappelijke advies over de monitoring en beoordeling van het risico voor de volksgezondheid van stammen van het type Salmonella typhimurium , worden monofasische stammen van Salmonella typhimurium met de antigene formule 1,4,[5],12:i:- beschouwd als varianten van Salmonella typhimurium en op grond van actuele bevindingen lijken zij een risico voor de volksgezondheid op te leveren dat vergelijkbaar is met dat van andere stammen van Salmonella typhimurium.
