If we assume that an enterprise such as Shell or Total or BP has standards that it imposes upon itself and which we will stipulate as binding for deep-sea drilling in the territory of the European Union, then I believe that the same standards as are applied in the North Sea and are possible there both technically and in terms of cost are also feasible in Libya.
Als we aannemen dat bedrijven zoals Shell, Total of BP zichzelf bepaalde normen opleggen en wij die normen verplicht stellen bij diepzeeboringen op het grondgebied van de Europese Unie, ben ik van mening dat dezelfde normen die in de Noordzee worden toegepast en daar zowel technisch als qua kosten mogelijk zijn, ook toegepast kunnen worden in Libië.
