‘audible warning device’ means a device emitting an acoustic signal intended to give warning of the presence of, or a manoeuvre by, a vehicle in a dangerous road traffic situation, consisting of one or more sound emission orifices that are excited by a single power source or of several components each emitting an acoustic signal and operating simultaneously as a result of being actuated by a single control;

Where EC component type approval is requested for a type of lighting and light-signalling device comprising a parking lamp and other lamps, a single EC component type-approval number may be assigned provided that the parking lamp complies with the requirements of this Directive and that each of the other lamps forming part of the lighting and light-signalling device for which EC component type approval is requested complies with the separate Directive applying to it.
3.4.
