The Convention on Choice of Court Agreements concluded on 30 June 2005 under the auspices of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (‘the Convention’) makes a valuable contribution to promoting party autonomy in international commercial transactions and to increasing the predictability of judicial solutions in such transactions.

In the framework of The Hague Conference on Private International Law, the Community and its Member States took part in negotiations which led to the adoption on 23 November 2007 of the Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and other Forms of Family Maintenance (hereinafter referred to as the 2007 Hague Convention) and the Protocol on the Law Applicable to Maintenance Obligations (hereinafter referred to as the 2007 Hague Protocol).

The Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children concluded on 19 October 1996 within the Hague Conference on Private International Law (hereinafter referred to as the Convention) makes a valuable contribution to the protection of children at the international level.
Het Verdrag inzake de bevoegdheid, het toepasselijke recht, de erkenning, de tenuitvoerlegging en de samenwerking op het gebied van ouderlijke verantwoordelijkheid en maatregelen ter bescherming van kinderen, dat op 19 oktober 1996 in het kader van de Haagse Conferentie voor Internationaal Privaatrecht werd gesloten, (hierna „het verdrag” te noemen), levert een waardevolle bijdrage aan de bescherming van kinderen op internationaal niveau en het is bijgevolg wenselijk dat de bepalingen ervan zo snel mogelijk worden toegepast.

3. The Commission shall forward the individual Country Profile Forms completed by the Member States to the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (‘the Permanent Bureau’) at the time when the Union deposits the instrument referred to in Article 58(2) of the Convention.
3. De Commissie stuurt de door de lidstaten ingevulde landprofielformulieren aan het Permanent Bureau van de Haagse Conferentie voor Internationaal Privaatrecht („het Permanent Bureau”) op het tijdstip waarop de Unie de in artikel 58, lid 2, van het verdrag bedoelde akte neerlegt.

The Commission should forward that information to the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (‘the Permanent Bureau’) at the time when the Union deposits its instrument of approval, as required by the Convention.
