Urges the Commission, the Member States, the regions, local authorities, and the tourism industry to coordinate the policies with a direct or indirect impact on tourism, cooperate more closely among themselves, and make better use of the European financial instruments available in the period from 2007 to 2013 with a view to developing European tourism, focusing on the competitiveness of the tourism industry and tourist destinations, the development of tourism enterprises, services, and facilities, job creation, mobility, and vocational training in the tourism sector, and economic diversification and the development of Europe's regions, in particular the less-favoured regions;
75. dringt er bij de Commissie, de lidstaten, de regio's, de lokale autoriteiten en de toeristische sector op aan hun beleid dat een direct of indirect effect heeft op het toerisme te coördineren, onderling sterker samen te werken en een efficiënter gebruik te maken van de beschikbare Europese financiële middelen in de periode 2007-2013 teneinde het Europese toerisme te ontwikkelen en zich daarbij te concentreren op de concurrentiepositie van de toeristische sector en toeristische bestemmingen, de ontwikkeling van toeristische ondernemingen, diensten en faciliteiten, het scheppen van banen, mobiliteit en beroepsopleidingen in de toeristische sector, economische diversificatie en de ontwikkeling van de Europese regio's, met name minder begunstigde regio's;

Cooperation programmes and projects will support the efforts of ACP countries to establish and improve the countries legal and institutional framework and resources for the development and implementation of sustainable tourism policies and programmes, as well as inter alia, improving the competitive position of the sector, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), investment support and promotion, product development including the development of indigenous cultures in ACP countries, and strengthening linkages between tourism and other sectors of economic activity.
In het kader van de samenwerkingsprogramma's en -projecten worden de inspanningen van de ACS-staten ondersteund die gericht zijn op de totstandbrenging en verbetering van het juridische en institutionele kader en de hulpbronnen voor de ontwikkeling en tenuitvoerlegging van duurzame beleidslijnen en programma's op het gebied van toerisme, alsmede, onder andere, de verbetering van de concurrentiepositie van deze sector, met name van het MKB, de ondersteuning en bevordering van investeringen, productontwikkeling, inclusief de ontwikkeling van de inheemse culturen in de ACS-staten, en versterking van de onderlinge banden tussen het toerisme en andere sectoren van de economie.
