On 20 December 2012, the United Nations Security Council Committee established pursuant to United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1737 (2006) amended the list of persons and entities subject to the travel ban and asset freeze pursuant to UNSCR 1737 (2006), UNSCR 1747 (2007), UNSCR 1803 (2008) and UNSCR 1929 (2010), adding two entities to that list.
Het bij Resolutie 1737 van de Veiligheidsraad van de Verenigde Naties ingestelde Comité van de Veiligheidsraad van de Verenigde Naties heeft op 20 december 2012 de lijst van personen en entiteiten die onderworpen zijn aan een reisverbod en bevriezing van tegoeden overeenkomstig Resoluties 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) en 1929 (2010) gewijzigd door er twee entiteiten aan toe te voegen.

UNSCR 1929 (2010) further provides that UN Member States are to prohibit the provision by their nationals or from their territory of bunkering services, or other servicing of vessels, to Iran vessels if they have information that provides reasonable grounds to believe they are carrying items the supply, sale, transfer or export of which is prohibited under UNSCR 1737 (2006), UNSCR 1747 (2007), UNSCR 1803 (2008) or UNSCR 1929 (2010).
Voorts schrijft VNVR-Resolutie 1929 (2010) voor dat VN-lidstaten het verlenen van bunkerdiensten of andere diensten aan schepen van Iran door hun onderdanen of vanaf hun grondgebied moeten verbieden indien zij over informatie beschikken op grond waarvan een redelijk vermoeden bestaat dat deze schepen voorwerpen vervoeren waarvan de levering, verkoop, overbrenging of uitvoer krachtens VNVR-Resoluties 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) of 1929 (2010) verboden is.

UNSCR 1929 (2010) also provides that UN Member States are to seize and dispose of items the supply, sale, transfer or export of which is prohibited under UNSCR 1737 (2006), UNSCR 1747 (2007), UNSCR 1803 (2008) or UNSCR 1929 (2010) in a manner that is not inconsistent with their obligations under the applicable Security Council Resolutions and international conventions.
Op grond van VNVR-Resolutie 1929 (2010) dienen VN-lidstaten tevens voorwerpen waarvan de levering, verkoop, overbrenging of uitvoer krachtens VNVR-Resoluties 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) of 1929 (2010) is verboden, in overeenstemming met hun verplichtingen uit hoofde van de toepasselijke resoluties van de Veiligheidsraad en van de internationale verdragen ter zake, te confisqueren en te vernietigen.

UNSCR 1929 (2010) also notes that Member States, consistent with international law, in particular the law of the sea, may request inspections of vessels on the high seas with the consent of the flag State, if they have information that provides reasonable grounds to believe that the vessels carry items the supply, sale, transfer or export of which is prohibited under UNSCR 1737 (2006), UNSCR 1747 (2007), UNSCR 1803 (2008) or UNSCR 1929 (2010).

UNSCR 1929 (2010) calls upon all States to inspect, in accordance with their national authorities and legislation, and consistent with international law, all cargoes to and from Iran, in their territory, including seaports and airports, if the State concerned has information that provides reasonable grounds to believe that the cargo contains items the supply, sale, transfer or export of which is prohibited under UNSCR 1737 (2006), UNSCR 1747 (2007), UNSCR 1803 (2008) or UNSCR 1929 (2010).
In VNVR-Resolutie 1929 (2010) worden voorts alle landen opgeroepen in overleg met hun nationale autoriteiten en in overeenstemming met hun nationale wetgeving en met het internationale recht alle vracht naar en van Iran op hun grondgebied, met inbegrip van zee- en luchthavens, te inspecteren indien het betrokken land beschikt over informatie op grond waarvan een redelijk vermoeden bestaat dat de vracht voorwerpen omvat waarvan de levering, verkoop, overbrenging of uitvoer krachtens VNVR-Resoluties 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) of 1929 (2010) verboden is.
