Those conditions should take into account the standard of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), concerning the marketing and commercial quality control of seed potatoes, as well as the relevant standards of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), in view of technical and scientific developments.
Deze eisen moeten rekening houden met de norm van de Economische Commissie voor Europa van de Verenigde Naties (VN/ECE) betreffende de handel in en de controle op de handelskwaliteit van pootaardappelen, en met de relevante normen van het Internationaal Verdrag voor de bescherming van planten (IPPC) en de Plantenbeschermingsorganisatie voor Europa en het gebied van de Middellandse Zee (EPPO), in het licht van de technische en wetenschappelijke ontwikkelingen.

To promote the achievement of the objective set out in Article 1, the Commission and Member States, as appropriate, shall, without prejudice to Article 300 of the Treaty, pursue bilateral and multilateral cooperation with third countries and relevant international organisations such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), including through the exchange of information, concerning technical and scientific research and development and with the aim of improving the basis for the facilitation of emission reductions.
Om het doel van artikel 1 beter te bereiken, zetten de Commissie en eventueel de lidstaten, onverminderd artikel 300 van het EG-Verdrag, de bilaterale en multilaterale samenwerking met derde landen en relevante internationale organisaties - zoals de Economische Commissie voor Europa van de Verenigde Naties (UNECE), de Internationale Maritieme Organisatie (IMO) en de Internationale Organisatie voor Burgerluchtvaart (ICAO) - voort; de samenwerking omvat uitwisseling van informatie op het gebied van technisch en wetenschappelijk onderzoek en ontwikkeling, om aldus een betere basis te verkrijgen voor de reductie van de emissies.

(5) Whereas in 1970 an administrative document entitled 'European System of Integrated Economic Accounts` (ESA) was published, covering the field governed by this Regulation, which had been drawn up solely by the Statistical Office of the European Communities and on its responsibility alone; whereas that document was the outcome of several years' work by the Statistical Office of the European Communities, together with Member States' national statistical institutes, to devise a system of national accounts meeting the requirements of the European Communities' economic and social policy, and whereas it constituted the Community version of the United Nations System of National Accounts which had been used by the Community up to that time;
(5) Overwegende dat in 1970 een administratief document met als titel "Europees stelsel van economische rekeningen" (ESER) werd gepubliceerd, dat betrekking had op het door deze verordening bestreken gebied en dat door het Bureau voor de Statistiek van de Europese Gemeenschappen als enige instantie en onder zijn uitsluitende verantwoordelijkheid was opgesteld; dat dit document de voltooiing was van het werk dat gedurende verscheidene jaren door het Bureau voor de Statistiek van de Europese Gemeenschappen in samenwerking met de nationale bureaus voor de statistiek van de Lid-Staten werd verricht ter uitwerking van een systeem van nationale rekeningen dat beantwoordde aan de behoeften van de economische en sociale politiek van de Gemeenschap en dat het de Gemeenschapsversie vormde van het systeem van nationale rekeningen van de Verenigde Naties, dat tot dan toe in de Gemeenschap was gebruikt;
