The Fund should also support the voluntary efforts made by Member States to provide international protection and a durable solution in their territories to refugees and displaced persons identified as eligible for resettlement by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), such as the actions that the Member States implement to assess the resettlement needs and transfer the persons concerned to their territories, with a view to granting them a secure legal status and to promoting their effective integration.
Het Fonds dient ook bijstand te verlenen voor de vrijwillige inspanningen van de lidstaten om vluchtelingen en ontheemden die volgens het Hoge Commissariaat voor de vluchtelingen (UNHCR) in aanmerking komen voor hervestiging, op hun grondgebied internationale bescherming en een duurzame oplossing te bieden, zoals de maatregelen die de lidstaten nemen om de behoefte aan hervestiging te beoordelen en de betrokken personen naar hun grondgebied over te brengen teneinde hen een stabiele legale status te bieden en hun integratie te bevorderen.
