7. gaat ervan uit dat de delegaties van de Europese Unie integraal deel zullen uitmaken van de EESA en dat zij hun instructies krijgen van de Hoge Vertegenwoordiger en onder diens toezicht staan, terwijl zij administratief tot de Commissie behoren; verlangt echter van de volgende Hoge Vertegenwoordiger de toezegging, dat hij/zij de bevoegde parlementaire commissies zal informeren omtrent zijn/haar benoemingen op hoge posten van de EESA en de commissies zal toestaan hoorzittingen te houden met de kandidaten indien de commissies daartoe besluiten; verlangt tevens dat de volgende Hoge Vertegenwoordiger zich verbindt met het Europees Parlement te zullen onderhandelen over het huidige Interinstitutioneel Akkoord, met name over toegang tot gevoelige informatie en andere kwesties die van belang zijn voor een soepele interinstitutionele samenwerking;

Notes that in absolute terms significantly more women than men work in the health sector, but that they are severely under-represented in decision-making bodies, as the European NEXT study (Nurses' Early Exit Study) of June 2005 again showed for the nursing sector; calls on the Member States, therefore, strongly to promote gender equality in the health sector and to take measures to increase the number of women appointed to leading positions in the medical profession;
20. constateert dat vrouwen in absolute cijfers duidelijk meer dan mannen in de gezondheidssector werken, maar in besluitvormingsinstanties sterk ondervertegenwoordigd zijn, zoals opnieuw is gebleken uit de Europese NEXT-studie (Nurses' Early Exit Study) voor de zorgsector van juni 2005; dringt er daarom bij de lidstaten op aan ook in de gezondheidssector nadrukkelijk naar gendergelijkheid en maatregelen te nemen opdat meer vrouwen in leidinggevende posities in de medische wereld terechtkomen;

(9) In order to effectively ensure the accomplishment of the functions of the Agency, the Member States and the Commission should be represented on an Administrative Board entrusted with the necessary powers to establish the budget, verify its execution, adopt the appropriate financial rules, establish transparent working procedures for decision making by the Agency, approve its work programme, examine requests for technical assistance from Member States, define a policy for visits to the Member States and appoint the Executive Director.
(9) Teneinde de uitoefening van de taken van het Agentschap doeltreffend te verzekeren, zijn de lidstaten en de Commissie vertegenwoordigd in een raad van bestuur die is toegerust met de noodzakelijke bevoegdheden om de begroting vast te stellen, de uitvoering van de begroting te verifiëren, de passende financiële voorschriften vast te stellen, doorzichtige werkmethoden voor de besluitvorming door het Agentschap vast te stellen, het werkprogramma goed te keuren, verzoeken om technische bijstand van de lidstaten te onderzoeken, een beleidslijn vast te stellen voor de inspectiebezoeken aan de lidstaten en de uitvoerend directeur te benoemen.
