[5] Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data set up by Article 29 of the Directive, henceforth "the Working Party".

This should take into account the recommendations made by the Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data set up under Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC (‘Article 29 Data Protection Working Party’) and contained in its ‘Working document on data protection and privacy implications in eCall initiative’, adopted on 26 September 2006.
Dat dient rekening te houden met de aanbevelingen van de bij artikel 29 van Richtlijn 95/46/EG opgerichte Groep voor de bescherming van personen in verband met de verwerking van persoonsgegevens („Groep gegevensbescherming artikel 29”) die vervat zijn in zijn op 26 september 2006 goedgekeurde werkdocument betreffende de gevolgen van het eCall-initiatief voor de gegevensbescherming en de privacy.

In line with the recommendations made by the Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data (the ‘Article 29 Data Protection Working Party’) in its Working document on data protection and privacy implications in eCall initiative, adopted on 26 September 2006, when deploying the eCall PSAP infrastructure, Member States are to ensure that the processing of personal data in the context of handling eCalls fully complies with the personal data protection rules provided for in Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and in Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council

Having consulted the Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data established by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the Article 29 Working Party),
Na raadpleging van de Groep voor de bescherming van natuurlijke personen in verband met de verwerking van persoonsgegevens, ingesteld bij artikel 29 van Richtlijn 95/46/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 24 oktober 1995 betreffende de bescherming van natuurlijke personen in verband met de verwerking van persoonsgegevens en betreffende het vrije verkeer van die gegevens (de Groep artikel 29),

[30] The Article 29 Working Party on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (set up under Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC to advise the Commission) is currently working on an opinion to highlight the relevant data protection issues for smart grids and make recommendations for solutions.

Developments concerning the use of IP addresses should be followed closely, taking into consideration the work already done by, among others, the Working Party on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data established by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (15), and in the light of such proposals as may be appropriate.

At its meeting in Lisbon on 23-24 March 2000, the European Council decided to "mandate the High Level Working Party on Social Protection, taking into consideration the work being done by the Economic Policy Committee, (...)as its first priority, to prepare, on the basis of a Commission communication, a study on the future evolution of social protection from a long-term point of view, giving particular attention to the sustainability of pensions systems in different time frameworks up to 2020 and beyond, where necessary".
Tijdens zijn vergadering in Lissabon op 23-24 maart 2000 besloot de Europese Raad "de Groep op hoog niveau inzake sociale bescherming opdracht te geven om, rekening houdend met de werkzaamheden van het Comité voor de economische politiek(...), als eerste prioriteit, op basis van een mededeling van de Commissie een studie te verrichten naar de toekomstige ontwikkeling van de sociale bescherming, gezien op langere termijn, met bijzondere aandacht voor de houdbaarheid van de pensioenstelsels binnen verschillende tijdsbestekken tot 2020 en, zo nodig, tot later".
