TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Political agreement has been reached on the proposed directives on the winding-up and reorganisation of credit institutions and of insurance undertakings. The review of bank capital rules in parallel with the G-10 Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, proposals for new insurance solvency requirements will be made this summer, and work on the supervision of financial conglomerates is on schedule.

On examining the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council to codify Council Directive 72/166/EEC of 24 April 1972 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to insurance against civil liability in respect of the use of motor vehicles relating to insurance against civil liability in respect of the use of motor vehicles, and the enforcement of the obligation to insure against such liability, second Council Directive 84/5/EEC of 30 December 1983 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to insurance against civil liability in respect of the use of motor vehicles, third Council Directive of 14 May 1990 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to insurance against civil liability in respect of the use of motor vehicles and Directive 2000/26/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 May 2000 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to insurance against civil liability in respect of the use of motor vehicles (fourth motor insurance directive), the Working Party, by common consent, established the following.
Tijdens de behandeling van het voorstel voor een richtlijn van het Europees Parlement en de Raad tot codificatie van Richtlijn 72/166/EEG van de Raad van 24 april 1972 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen der lidstaten betreffende de verzekering tegen de wettelijke aansprakelijkheid waartoe de deelneming aan het verkeer van motorrijtuigen aanleiding kan geven en de controle op de verzekering tegen deze aansprakelijkheid, de tweede Richtlijn 84/5/EEG van de Raad van 30 december 1983 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen der lidstaten betreffende de verzekering tegen de wettelijke aansprakelijkheid waartoe de deelneming aan het verkeer van motorrijtuigen aanleiding kan geven, de derde Richtlijn 90/232/EEG van de Raad van 14 mei 1990 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen van de lidstaten betreffende de verzekering tegen de wettelijke aansprakelijkheid waartoe deelneming aan het verkeer van motorrijtuigen aanleiding kan geven en Richtlijn 2000/26/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 16 mei 2000 inzake de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen van de lidstaten betreffende de verzekering tegen de wettelijke aansprakelijkheid waartoe deelneming aan het verkeer van motorrijtuigen aanleiding kan geven (vierde richtlijn inzake de motorrijtuigenverzekering), heeft de raadgevende werkgroep in onderlinge overeenstemming het volgende geconstateerd:

78. Calls on the Bureau promptly to wind up discussions on the outcome of the work of the parliamentary working party on Members' assistants; calls on the Secretary-General to inform the Committee on Budgetary Control about the working party's proposals and the Bureau's decision;

The purpose of these Internal Regulations is to govern the reciprocal relations between National Insurers' Bureaux thereby enforcing the provisions of Recommendation No 5 adopted on 25 January 1949 by the Working Party on Road Transport of the Inland Transport Committee of the European Economic Commission of the United Nations, superseded by Annex 2 of the Consolidated Resolution on the Facilitation of Road Transport (RE4) adopted by the Working Party at its 74th session held on 25 to 29 June 1984, in its current version (hereinafter called recommendation No 5).

(1) Whereas in 1949 the Working Party on Road Transport of the Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations sent to the Governments of Member States a recommendation(1) inviting them to ask insurers covering third party liability risks in respect of the use of vehicles to conclude agreements for the establishment of uniform and practical provisions to enable motorists to be satisfactorily insured when entering countries where insurance against such risks is compulsory.
(1) Overwegende dat de Subcommissie voor het wegvervoer van het Comité voor binnenlands vervoer van de Economische Commissie voor Europa van de Verenigde Naties in 1949 een aanbeveling(1) heeft gericht tot de regeringen van de lidstaten, waarin zij werden uitgenodigd de verzekeraars, die risico's dekken betreffende de burgerrechtelijke aansprakelijkheid inzake wegverkeer, te verzoeken overeenkomsten te sluiten die tot doel hebben, eenvormige en praktische bepalingen vast te leggen die aan automobilisten toelaten op bevredigende wijze verzekerd te zijn wanneer zij landen betreden waar de verzekering van dergelijke risico's verplicht is.

In order to achieve these objectives it is essential that all parties concerned (local authorities, health care professionals, social protection bodies, supplementary insurance companies, consumers) work together to build strong partnerships.
Daarom is het van wezenlijk belang dat alle betrokken partijen (overheden, professionele zorgverleners, instanties voor sociale zekerheid, verzekeraars voor aanvullende verzekeringen en gebruikers) intensiever gaan samenwerken.

11. Calls on the Commission to establish a working group, with the task of preparing one or more models of legal expenses insurance for the field of patents in the EU; takes the view that the working party should for instance study the financing of the scheme, insurance cover, level of premiums, an authority of control, etc.;
11. verzoekt de Commissie een werkgroep in te stellen met als taak een of meer model(len) op te zetten voor een rechtshulpverzekering op octrooigebied in de EU. Deze werkgroep dient zich, om hier enkele te bestuderen punten te noemen, bezig te houden met de financiering van het stelsel, de verzekeringsdekking, het premieniveau en de toezichthoudende instantie;
